Feedback - from the Audience
"No Smoke" has now had its first ever performance, and it has come on a long way since the readings that were done well over a year ago. Feedback forms were offered to all the audience and a siginificant number were filled in, giving the data a real value to seeing how they felt about the play. The 10 questions are all given below, and once again all the questions required an answer on a scale of "Strongly agree" down to "Strongly disagree" - this allowed for a closer comparison of each question.
The percentage (%) score I have given below is for all answers* given at "Strongly Agree" or "Agree" - which you will see, provides a really positive feedback from the audience.

What does this feedback tell me?
Well...to be honest...as easy as it is to be over critical...this feedback is actually REALLY positive, and it is a true credit to the AMAZING ACTORS who brought the play to the stage with me. Just look at all those 90%+ positive responses - and this sample group accounts for the majority of the audience who we (politely) forced to fill the form in before they left the theatre. In fact, if I included "Partly Agree" in these stats, 1, 3, 4, 5 and 10 would have been 100% positive reply.
One or two figures stand out, and need some consideration. Question 6* was affected by the attendance of some people who, according to their forms, worked in professions that made them well versed in the themes, or their own personal experiences meant that they knew a lot about the issues anyway.
Also, question 9, if "partly agree" was included this would have been a score of 96% - comments suggested that some people felt it worked better because it was so close to the audience - I tend to agree.
